Purchase of Donor Sperm

When buying donor sperm, please remember:

Only buy sperm from anonymous donors.

The donor has to comply with either standard DK97 or DK07.

Ciconia recommends buying one straw of ICI, MOT20 per insemination/IVF treatment or one straw IUI, MOT10 per insemination/IVF treatment.

Remember to request shipment at least three workdays before the expected treatment. The shipment can be ordered either on dry ice or in a nitrogen tank. If you want to pick up the sperm yourself, a delivery authorisation has to be filled in (ask Cryos).

You can order sufficient sperm for the complete duration of the treatment because Ciconia can store the sperm for the duration of the treatment. But please note that neither Ciconia nor Cryos will take back surplus sperm!
Another option is to make a reservation at Cryos for sufficient sperm from the chosen donor and have it delivered successively. This way you ensure that the donor is not sold out during your treatment period. Please also consider if you want to reserve sperm for siblings.
